Desmond L. Davis began dancing at age 15 at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio as an alternative to its sports program.  He continued to pursue dance at Kenyon College where he studied primarily modern and jazz styles.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Drama in 1989 and secured the Dance prize that year as well.

Mr. Davis has danced with Footpath Dance Company as a dancer trainee under the artistic direction of Mr. Bill Wade in 1990 and appeared on the Cain Park stage in Cleveland Heights as a part of Cleveland State University's Summerdance Program.  He has also performed on the Karamu House stage in Taylor Productions "The Seventh Example" and Brecksville Little Theatre's production of "South Pacific".  He currently performs with Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre under Artistic Director, Michael Medcalf.
